Join us for an evening of sharing our postpartum experiences with each other!
Join us for an evening of sharing our postpartum experiences with each other. Whether they are poems, essays, songs, photos, paintings or personal stories, whether funny or heartbreaking, these experiences are important and there is power in coming together around them. There is such a breadth of experience, let’s make some space for it. We’ll conclude the evening with a little happy hour of wine, snacks and community.
Due to the nature of this topic, this event may include content triggering for survivors of peri or postpartum related trauma.
How to Participate:
Presentations should be 5-7 minutes long and can be any combination of spoken word, sound and visuals. If you know you have just the thing for this, you can submit it here http://bit.ly/PPOMsub with just a short summary of what you plan to talk about or share. There will also be a sign-up sheet at the event as well if slots are still open. People of Color, gender non-conforming, or those with a disability are especially encouraged to participate. To ensure a safe and inclusive space for all, any hate speech or discriminatory language is not welcome.
